Fashionable Wilma

Wilma is done nursing but the puppies still try to latch onto her. This cute outfit allows Wilma to play with her pups without the worry of anyone stealing a drink. Wilma nursed for 5 1/2 weeks, but 11 puppies got to be too much. I cut them off when Wilma started getting sick whenever she nursed.

This pup (not sure who it is) was fighting the urge to fall asleep...but finally gave in.

Kramers elephant became the new favorite toy of the day.

Last Weeks Visitors

Visitors started on Wednesday with a special visit from Deb, who drove all the way from Indianapolis to snuggle the puppies. She had a very good reason for making such a long trip...one of the little girls will be living with her in Indy! Her name will be Gentry.

On Thursday, Debbie and Mandi stopped by. Mandi raised Mousse from the Cookie litter. Mousse went off to college on Monday, so Debbie and Mandi needed puppy snuggles to cheer them up.

Friday was my Girls Night Out Puppy Party. Friends, food, drinks and puppies... what a perfect way to spend a Friday night.

On Saturday, Barb and Gerri, friends and co-volunteers at the Dearborn Animal Shelter, drove over for some puppy snuggles.

Judy and Gene made a short visit too. They are long time family friends and have a special love of yellow labs.

Joan and Terry also visited. They are friends from my parents camping club.

Sunday brought visits from Emily and her sister Rosie. Emily is a Girl Scout who put together the Therapy Dog Program at the Chelsea Retirement Center that Kramer participates in. A couple more weeks and Kramer will be able to get back to work.

Kay and her daughters Ashley and Meaghan and friend Kelsey also visited. Kay is raising Gizmo, a puppy from the last "G" litter who will be going into Paws for training in a couple weeks.

Julie, Jeff, Seth, Hayley, Reaghan and Hollis made a trip from Grand Rapids. Hollis is Wilma's Miss Pink from her H litter. She has grown into a beautiful dog. She'll be going into Paws college the first of March and will be trained to work with abused children for the court system in Detroit. She will be the first dog of this type in Michigan! And Julie and family will be getting another Wilma pup, a little boy named Gabe!

Jennifer and her mom Jill came for a snuggle too. Jen's service dog, Flurry loves to come over and play in the yard with Kramer, but poor Flurry had to stay home today.

The puppies get cuter by the day! Just look at these faces...how could you resist smooching them?

Fun Filled Day

Wilma's grandma came all the way from warm, sunny AZ to freezing, cold MI to see her grandpuppies. The puppies gave her a warm greeting with lots of hugs and kisses!
























They got a new toy from Grandma...a funnel tunnel! And they had lots of fun in it.



We also introduced them to the slide. What an exciting day for the puppies!

Another Weekend of Visitors

The pups were very popular this weekend.

Tracey and Jerry, friends from Detroit, came Friday night for a puppy pajama party.

My friend Michelle and her girls Sami and Becca came over to play Saturday morning.

Next, came Laura, a friend from work, her sister Judy and her kids Hillary and Becca.

Saturday ended with Mary, Scott and their kids, Evan and Emily, and Hazel, from Wilma's first litter. They will be raising a G girl named Gertrude soon! Hazel stayed in the utility room and ran in the yard with Kramer. She looks like Wilma, but a lot like daddy Wheatley too.

Superbowl Sunday brought out Andrea, Jane and her service dog Ukon, and Suzanne and Halo, another Wilma puppy. Andrea raised Aussie, 1/2 sister to these G's by daddy Laker. Ukon and Halo played in the yard with Kramer. I was suprised when I saw that Halo's coat makes more snowballs than Kramer's!
