Bye Bye Puppies

Today started out as a normal day for the puppies. They woke up, screamed for their breakfast, played hard, then took a nap. They had no idea what big adventure was just ahead.

Wilma said good-bye and we loaded the 11 munchkins into the car.

They were very curious as to what was going on.

It was a relatively quiet ride to Grand Rapids. A sign with the puppies new names greeted us. And the puppies settled into the kennels soon after we arrived.

It's quiet here at home tonight. Except for Wilma, who won't stop whining. I think she misses her babies. So do I.

At least no poop patrol this morning! I know you'll be babysitting one of the girls real soon. Puppy smooches for your empty nest.

Hi momma Wilma and Laura,

This is Ms. Pink...they call me "Gypsy" now.

Thanks for doing such a great job bringing me to life. My foster puppy raisers Leo & Carmen picked me up yesterday and they seem to be OK. They told me I was Paws puppy #5 for them. They seem real nice but not as nice as you but they'll do for a year or so until I'm ready for puppy college.

I went to to my new home and met "Gunther" another Paws dog whose leaving for puppy college in two week and a grumpy old keeper dog, a Golden named "Buddy" who thinks he King Tut. Ha, I fixed that old grump last night...I howled all night long...I'll show him :)

Miss ya and I'll keep in touch with you mom.

HI guys,
This is Gopher (yellow). I'm at my new house now and I have two new siblings. my older sister's name is Zola and she was a paw's puppy too, just like me... but she didn't pass. My older brothers name is Freckles and he is not too sure about me yet, but at least he shares his toys.
The first time that i got to this new place i was soo tired that i slept 5 whole hours. It's different here but i think i like it; its a new adventure! i miss you, i like to smell my scarf to remember you and it makes me feel better. i'll send you pictures soon! love Gopher (yellow)

Gosh, I sit here crying thinking about how the puppies miss you and how scared/lost they feel in their new homes. I know they will adjust and love where they are.
Wilma must really miss the excitement of 11 offsprings.
It's great seeing the blogs of the new people with the puppies.
I bet you miss them too, Laura, they were so easy to love.

How great to hear from Gypsy and Gopher! Sounds like you are both settling into your new homes with your new families very well. But Gypsy, that is very unlike you to howl all night. remember that you are a sweet, quiet girl. It's sister Ginny who I would have expected to howl! Gopher, you were always the sleepy snuggley boy. Glad to hear you still are. You will both do wonderful and I look forward to hearing from you throughout the year.
