Macy's Flight

Macy flew with me to Arizona for Christmas. We took the Michigan Flyer from Jackson to Detroit Metro Airport. Macy laid quietly on the floor of the bus.

Next we had to go through airport security, where Macy had a pat down search. She wagged and wiggled and enjoyed every minute of it. I think the TSA employees enjoyed it as much as she did!

Then we had to wait to board the plane, but we got to board early with the people traveling with small kids. Both 4 hour flights to and from Phoenix were nothing for Macy. She's a small lab and fit quite nicely under the seat. She was a good girl and laid quietly the whole time.

Hi Macy!
Mom flies with me to MA all the time to visit grandma and Piper! To avoid the patdown (Mom's idea, not mine....I like the patdown too), wear a pretty bandana to the airport. Then take EVERYTHING but the bandana off and walk through the detector with mom holding bandana (it's a little embarrassing to be so naked in public...but I usually get treats for it). Porter got to be such a pro Mom could ask him to walk through by himself, then sit-stay for her to come through solo. Wow!

One thing to watch out for....Mom's been stopped before because of my toys! Apparently they make really funny (dangerous looking) shapes on the X-ray machine. You should see the odd looks when security figures out its 'terrorist' is only carrying a chew bone! Now mom keeps my toys in an extra little bag so they can go through separately, just like liquids!

Circles and wiggles!
