Snow Day!

Today was a beautiful day to play in the snow. A little cold at 25 degrees, but the sun was shining brightly making it seem warmer.
Wilma and Kramer ran through the snow,
and rolled on the ground and made snow angels.

Carter

Carter is doing fine, but he's still a very traumatized little dog. He still lives in an x-pen and lays in is bed most of the day. But, he does not hide his head when I look at him and he'll lick peanut butter off my finger . And today he let me pet him while he was lying in his bed! That is a huge step!

Once a day I let Carter out of the pen and he nervously runs around the house. I think he likes it and at least it gives him some exercise. I also let Wilma and Kramer wander into Carter's pen and he's OK with that. He still has a long way to go, but I think he'll be OK in time.

Macy's Flight

Macy flew with me to Arizona for Christmas. We took the Michigan Flyer from Jackson to Detroit Metro Airport. Macy laid quietly on the floor of the bus.

Next we had to go through airport security, where Macy had a pat down search. She wagged and wiggled and enjoyed every minute of it. I think the TSA employees enjoyed it as much as she did!

Then we had to wait to board the plane, but we got to board early with the people traveling with small kids. Both 4 hour flights to and from Phoenix were nothing for Macy. She's a small lab and fit quite nicely under the seat. She was a good girl and laid quietly the whole time.
