So here is the outcome....shaved body and puffy legs! I kind of like it. What do you think?

Wilma is a very special girl who has accomplished a lot in her first 3 years. She's had two litters of 11 puppies each. Almost all of her pups are being trained to someday help people with disabilites live a more independant life. Wilma is now enjoying an early retirement. Wilma's "brother" Kramer is a certified Therapy Dog and regularly visits the residents at the Chelsea Retirement Community.

And here he is all grown up!
It's been 9 months since the Dearborn Animal Shelter rescued 105 Chihuahua's from a filthy home in Dearborn. And this Sunday at the Mutt Strut about 50 of those little dogs were reunited at the Chihuahua Reunion. Some were brown, some tan, some long haired some short haired, some young, some old...but all were looking great and happy and grateful to be in loving homes!

The Doggie Dash Du Lure was a new activity this year. The dogs chase a "rabbit" around a track. Wilma was a wild woman with this event! During Kramer's turn, Wilma pulled out of her collar and took off after the "rabbit". Then she had her own turn. Then she pulled away again and took off after another dog's "rabbit"! She was so intent on getting that "rabbit" that I had to leave in order for her to calm down.

Ashley, one of the labs I dog sat for just 9 days ago, has gone to the the Rainbow Bridge.
Ashley started life as a Paws puppy, in training to be a service dog. Jennifer and Jill Swearingen decided to keep her when she was career changed for allergies. She lived a happy life with laid back Texas. Then when Texas retired and Flurry moved in, Ashley and Flurry became best buddies.

This mom is a stray who ended up pregnant in a friends neighborhood, so she took her in to have her kittens. Bobbi (she's a bobtail cat) had 5 kittens on Tuesday April 13. My friend was going to be out of town for the weekend, so I got to kitty-sit.

There are so tiny. Look how big mom's paw is next to the kittens!
