A Day In the Life

Puppies this age don’t do much more than sleep and eat. Sometime they sleep in a pile and sometimes they sleep scattered around. They twitch and whimper and sometimes let out a little cry. They might stretch out a leg or even move to a new spot, but mostly they just sleep.
Then in steps Mom and the box seems to come alive. The pups slowly wake up and the migration begins. Pretty soon they are all in place, sucking and gulping and slurping. Sometimes there’s a scream because someone doesn’t get their way or because mom is giving them a bath. It’s amazing just how noisy they can be!

Then come the sighs of contentment as their bellies fill up. And pretty soon they are asleep again. This cycle continues over and over throughout the day, but I never get tired of watching it.

What a joy to be able to watch them grow and develop at this tender age. Thanks for sharing.
